After several weeks of preliminary public consultation on the project to set up an e-fuel production plant on the Nantes Saint-Nazaire port site, intended in particular for the decarbonisation of air transport, Hynamics, a subsidiary of the EDF Group, is organising the summary meeting on 4 March in Donges.
Open to all, this meeting will be an opportunity to review the themes addressed by the stakeholders and the questions raised by the public, in the presence of the guarantors mandated by the National Commission for Public Debate (CNDP).
This meeting will provide an initial assessment of the three months of consultation by reviewing the highlights of the exchanges, the participation figures, and an initial feedback from the guarantors.
Since the launch of the consultation on 16 December 2024, the public has been invited to express themselves during the face-to-face meetings and via an online participatory space. This last meeting will be an opportunity to present the main topics discussed and the responses provided by the project owner, in particular on:
- the opportunity of the project and its main characteristics (location, resources, production, process, electrical connection, risk management, cost and schedule);
- its environmental and socio-economic impacts;
- its integration into the territorial ecosystem.
The expression of opinions, during face-to-face meetings or on the consultation website, remains possible until 9 March, when the preliminary consultation will end.
At the end of the consultation, the guarantors of the National Commission for Public Debate will have one month to draw up their assessment. The project owner, for its part, will have two months to produce its response brief.
The next meetings between now and the end of the consultation:
- A local meeting on the Donges market on February 27, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. (no registration required).
- A thematic round table: "What ways to decarbonise aviation?", on 27 February, Salle des Guifettes in Donges, from 6.30 pm to 8.30 pm (registration recommended).
- The public meeting to summarize the consultation exchanges on March 4, Salle des Guifettes in Donges, from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. (registration recommended).

Take Kair in brief
Take Kair is an innovative project for the construction and operation of an e-fuel production plant, mainly for aviation, in Donges, on the Nantes \u2012 Saint Nazaire Port port area. E-kerosene is one of the solutions to limit CO2 emissions and contribute to the fight against global warming. Take Kair would thus make it possible to divide CO2 emissions by 5 compared to the use of fossil kerosene.
